These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Moneta ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Moneta mobile application and related services (the "Service"). The Service is offered on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may also ask you to accept these Terms explicitly (e.g. in the App or on a website). Your use of the Service after any such notice constitutes acceptance.
1. Description of the Service
Moneta is a personal finance application that helps you track income and expenses, set budgets, view reports, sync data across devices, use AI-powered insights, and manage recurring transactions. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use. We are not a bank, financial institution, or licensed financial adviser. The Service does not provide banking, investment, or professional financial, tax, or legal advice.
2. Eligibility and Account
You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your country to consent to terms) to use the Service. If you create an account or sign in (e.g. via Google or Apple), you agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
3. Subscription and In-App Purchases (Premium)
Moneta may offer a Premium (paid) subscription that unlocks additional features (e.g. ad-free experience, AI chat, cloud backup and sync, recurring transactions). Subscription terms are intended to comply with Apple App Store and Google Play requirements.
3.1 Subscription Plans
- Name of subscription: Moneta Premium
- Duration: Monthly or annual (yearly), as shown in the App at the time of purchase.
- Price: The price in your local currency (or equivalent) is displayed in the App before you confirm the purchase.
3.2 Payment and Billing
- Payment method: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-renewal: Unless you turn off auto-renewal before the end of the current period, your subscription will automatically renew. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period at the then-current price.
- Price changes: We may change subscription prices. We will give you advance notice where required by the applicable store. Continued use after a price change may constitute acceptance.
3.3 Managing and Cancelling Your Subscription
- Manage subscription: You can view and manage your subscription (including turning off auto-renewal) in your device settings: iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions · Android: Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions
- Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Premium until that date; after that, you will revert to the free tier.
- No refund for unused period: We do not provide refunds for the unused portion of a subscription period, except as required by Apple or Google (see below).
3.4 Free Trials
If we offer a free trial, we will disclose the terms (e.g. duration, what happens when it ends) in the App. Any unused portion of a free trial may be forfeited when you subscribe, as stated in the offer.
3.5 Refunds
Refund requests for subscriptions or other in-app purchases must be submitted to Apple (for iOS) or Google (for Android) in accordance with their respective policies. We do not process refunds directly; Apple and Google are solely responsible for their refund decisions.
4. Financial and AI Disclaimer
The Service includes tools and, where available, AI-powered features (e.g. chat, insights) that may provide general financial information or suggestions.

- No guarantee of accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, data or AI-generated content may contain errors or "hallucinations." You are responsible for verifying important information before making decisions.
- Your decisions: We are not liable for any financial or other decisions you make based on the Service or any content within it.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts, or our or our providers' systems.
- Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or harmful or illegal content.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code of the App (except to the extent permitted by applicable law).
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.
We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or for other operational or legal reasons.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service (including the App, design, text, graphics, logos, and other content we provide, but excluding content you submit) is owned by Moneta or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You do not acquire any ownership rights by using the Service. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of our content without our prior written consent.
7. Your Content and Data
You retain ownership of the data and content you submit to the Service (e.g. transactions, categories, budgets). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to use, store, and process that data solely to provide, improve, and secure the Service (e.g. syncing, backups, AI features as described in our Privacy Policy). We do not sell your personal or financial data. Our use of your data is further described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g. app stores, support pages). We do not control and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MONETA AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO (I) YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, (II) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE, (III) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE, OR (IV) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR DATA.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD 100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES; IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, OUR LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Moneta and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, and 14) will survive termination.
If you have a subscription, cancellation is governed by Section 3; termination of your access by us does not entitle you to a refund except as required by the applicable store.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Indonesia, except where prohibited by law. If you are a consumer, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence.
14. Changes to the Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we may notify you in the App or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
15. General
- Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any in-App terms we show you, constitute the entire agreement between you and Moneta regarding the Service.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
- Apple/Google: If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you acknowledge that Apple or Google has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App, and that these Terms are between you and Moneta, not Apple or Google. To the extent these Terms conflict with the applicable store's terms, the store's terms apply only with respect to your relationship with that store.
